Liquid Culture Expansion Broth
$18.00
Our 250ml analytical expansion broth is a scaled RTU version of the 1L Cynic analytical LC formulation: maltoferm extract, dextrose, soy peptone, yeast extract, KH2PO4, and MgSO4 in distilled water. Each jar is sterilized at 118.3°C @ 15 PSI for a 39-minute elevation-adjusted cycle to minimize sugar caramelization while preserving sterility confidence.

Digital Birth Certificate
Every unit ships with a Manifest Card carrying a QR code. Scan the QR code or navigate directly to /batch/[BATCH-ID] to access the thermal integration log, F₀ lethality value, sterilization parameters, and the name of the operator who signed off on your batch. This data is immutable once published.
Batch Evidence Access
Use your shipped Batch ID to open the exact certificate at /batch/[BATCH-ID]. Public ledger entries are available below.
Example certificate shortcut links are coming soon after the first approved public reference set is finalized.

Altitude Compensation — 4,984 ft
Our sterilization parameters are explicitly compensated for our operating altitude. At 4,984 ft, 15 PSI autoclave pressure yields 118.3°C — not 121°C. We run a product-specific hold window validated to F₀ ≥ 120. Sea-level timing assumptions applied at elevation produce inadequate lethality.
Liquid media runs use shorter lethality windows than dense solids and are released only after QA incubation review.
Species Compatibility
Best For
Liquid culture broth is used upstream of grain or substrate inoculation to expand a culture before committing it to a full bag. The 250ml volume is sized for a single transfer session — inoculate grain or substrate directly from this jar via the septum cap. The maltoferm and dextrose base supports mycelium without the caramelization artifacts common in high-sugar LC formulations. Use a magnetic stir plate for even distribution before drawing from the jar.
